❄️❄️❄️Winter is slowly creeping up upon us again this year. ❄️❄️❄️
Please be aware of the following signs that your pets may be starting to feel the cold too, especially if they sleep outside. Symptoms to watch for:
- Hesitance to go outside
- Searching for warmth
- Whining in dogs
- Slowing down
A pet who gets too cold could develop hypothermia, a condition that occurs when the pet’s body temperature falls below normal. If the pet’s temperature continues to fall, the muscles stiffen, the breathing and heart rates slow, and the pet could potentially die.
If you have any blankets, towels, rugs old or new that you would like to donate to the SPCA, all the animals here would appreciate it greatly.
